Job Title:         Vice President of Sales for the Midwest Region
Location:         Midwest

Job Description

Responsible for generating advertising revenue from new business opportunities as well as the renewal of existing business.  
Specific responsibilities will include:

•        Managing Sales Directors who are responsible for accounts in a specific geographical area.

•        Retain, expand and renew existing client relationships.  This company has existing, often long-term, relationships with some
of the largest marketers in America.  The VP of Sales and his/her team are responsible for nurturing and expanding these
relationships and renewing them as contracts expire.

•        Enter new categories and bring in new clients by leveraging This company’s deep consumer research, as well as its Value-
Based Pricing and Fair Solicitation Process to identify, price and penetrate new categories and clients for existing programs.

•        Work closely and collaboratively With the Marketing function to create and deliver product innovations to current and
prospective clients.  The VP of Sales and his/her team must work closely with the Marketing function to understand client needs
and identify opportunities for line extensions and new product introductions in the core business

•        Hire, train, and manage additional sales resources as necessary to support revenue generating efforts designed to over-
deliver against immediate and long-term business objectives for this company, for the parent company, and this company’s
valued clients, and strategic business Partners.

Experience must include 15+ years of sales experience (preferably in the Marketing Services area) and a proven track record of
managing a high performing sales team.  In addition, this person must have had substantial experience negotiating larger
complex deals, and experience calling on C-Suite level individuals.  Finally, the ideal candidate will be able to work successfully in
an independent setting, and be willing to travel regularly.
