Vision is just a romantic way at looking things that worked, another view of success. All those ideas that did not work are over in the hindsight bucket.
I heard Ed Land say that as an inventor, his job was “to imagine things before they happened.”
When Ed Land invented the instant camera, romanticists say Land had vision. When he invented the horribly failed instant movie camera, the hardcore pragmatists say with hindsight that he failed to recognize the evolution of the digital era.
In both cases, Land simply experienced life as it goes up and comes down.
