Regulators Get Wrigley to Pull Caffeine Gum, but They're Not Scaring Monster – brandchannel

According to brandchannel, Wrigley has decided to pull Alert caffeinated gum from the market.  Monster Energy Drinks remains insistent that their products are safe.

FOOD reported April 30, 2013 that the FDA was reviewing the health effects of caffeinated food products on children.

Caffeinated-food products have become very common.   “Jelly Belly Extreme Sport Beans (50 mg per ounce), Cracker Jack’D (35 mg per ounce) and Perky Jerky (150 mg per ounce)…contain significant amounts of caffeine.” Live Science.
