The National Accounts Manager will be responsible for:
  • Driving world class account management by working closely with each account and corporate teams (supply chain, category management, finance)
  • Addressing retailer needs with various departments
  • Following up on customer meetings to address all open issues
  • Working with supply chain and planners to manage inventory levels
  • Working with Category Management teams to report POS, trends, factors impacting the business, etc
  • Preparing customer presentations for line reviews and other meetings
  • Developing a yearly plan and monthly forecasts by sku for key accounts working closely with the Demand Forecasting team.
  • Managing Customer Profitability for each account working closely with Strategic Sales & Finance Team to develop quotes for new items, manage over & above spend at key accounts and manage ROI
  • Gathering and communicating competitive factors impacting the business at these accounts (i.e. new competitive items, competitive promotions, etc.)
  • Developing promotional plans for each account
  • Driving business with smaller regional accounts
Requirements include:
  • Bachelor’s required; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of major account sales management
  • Prior experience in sales with consumer products/consumer durables required
  • 5+ years of Costco’s account management experience required
  • Previous experience supervising a team to include Sales Rep and Category Management
  • Strong technical skills to gather and analyze large sets of data and create reports for management
