We are an analytic service provider focused on Shopper Intelligence – understanding the needs of shoppers, developing actionable shopper insights, and growing our clients’ business through more effective shopper marketing.  We specialize in applying simple to advanced analytic techniques to large databases of shopper behavior.  Our clients are both CPG manufacturers and grocery retailers.
We apply sophisticated analytic techniques to segment consumers, analyze and predict consumer behavior, and measure the volumetric and purchase behavior response to a variety of marketing and merchandising levers.  Our recommendations help our clients optimize their trade and marketing spending, category management efforts and shopper marketing activities.
Overall responsibilities include:
– Formulating detailed analytic plans including data requirements, analytic & statistical approach and timing, working hand in hand with Chief Analytic Officer and Client Service professionals.
– Data analysis requiring the manipulation of large datasets from multiple sources including primarily transaction-level loyalty card data, as well as syndicated scanner, panel and survey sources using established analytic, statistical and data mining methods.
– Creation of final client deliverable presentations including summary of findings and recommended courses of action.
Requirements:
– 2-5 years of experience in a hands-on analytics role.
– Experience with SQL in an analytic capacity.  Ability to write efficient code to manipulate transaction-level data to generate complex metrics and datasets requiring multiple analytic steps.
– Experience with statistical and/or data mining techniques and software is desirable, but given the right background, we are willing to train on these approaches.
– Excellent project management and problem solving skills.  Ability to creatively formulate solutions to analytic challenges.  Ability to work independently, take ownership of project completion from start to finish, and meet deadlines.  Ideal candidate will combine analytic excellence with creativity and client focus.
– Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other quantitative field.
– Authorization to work in the U.S. is required, as visa sponsorship will not be provided.
