Sample Job Description National Account Business Development Director
Location: Chicago, IL
Reports to: Executive President/General Manager
Requirements: Minimum 7-12 years experience in the advertising/media/marketing services industry on either client and/or agency side. Minimum 2 years media sales experience with a solid track record of new business development.
The candidate will be responsible for generating ad revenue on the this Company’s suite of marketing services software. The candidate will be responsible for all selling functions for approximately 10 national Consumer Packaged Goods accounts located across the country, but primarily in the Midwest. The candidate will also be responsible for calling on the advertising agency and/or promotion agency for those accounts. The candidate will be expected to make a minimum number of face-to-face sales calls per week.
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process, including working closely with the sales marketing team to produce custom presentations: the control desk to ensure correct schedules, spot trafficking and billing: and the consumer insights group to ensure research studies are executed.
Candidate must be willing to travel
