Title: Product Manager
Managing a rolling 18-24 month “pipeline” of qualified new products for designated product portfolio. New product development will include developing basic marketing strategies (i.e. product definition, branding, required features, packaging, pricing, etc.)
Developing marketing plans, business plans, sales strategies and action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define goals, win strategies, schedules and action assignments.
Perform ongoing profitability and cost reduction initiatives on existing products.
Ensuring that the existing product line is supported and recommending line changes as needed.
Using POS from key accounts to monitor movement and market share. Make strategic/tactical recommendations to management on an ongoing basis.
Working with 3rd party vendors to design and implement market research; analyze and present results to senior management.
Writing briefs and executing new product packaging and packaging updates to existing products.
Developing annual sales forecasts and working with the Demand Planning and Supply Planning to establish inventory coverage targets and ensuring coverage targets are being maintained.
Working with Sales and Trade Marketing to facilitate the selling process, including PowerPoint presentations, relevant market data, samples and artwork.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business
MBA in Marketing and/or Management highly desired
5+ years of product marketing experience preferably from the consumer goods industry
Solid analytical skills with the ability to solve problems and develop creative solutions
Ability to manage cross-functionally and across an organization
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience managing outside agencies for research, advertising, and public relations
Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
